Transforming Lives Through Mobility

Chronic joint pain can severely limit your lifestyle. At Prayag Hospital, our Joint Replacement Centre is a leader in performing Total Knee Replacement (TKR) and Total Hip Replacement (THR) surgeries with a high success rate.

We utilize high-quality, long-lasting implants (Oxinium, Ceramics, Highly Cross-linked Polyethylene) and ensure perfect alignment through computer navigation systems. This results in joints that feel natural and last for decades.

Our "Rapid Recovery Protocol" allows most patients to stand and walk within 24 hours of surgery, significantly reducing hospital stay and complications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common queries about joint replacement.

Pain management techniques have advanced significantly. We use multi-modal pain relief, including nerve blocks and epidurals, ensuring that patients experience minimal discomfort after surgery.

Typically, patients stay for 3 to 5 days. You are discharged once you are medically stable, able to walk with support, and can perform basic daily activities.

With high-flexion knee implants, sitting cross-legged is possible for some patients. However, to maximize the lifespan of the implant, we generally advise avoiding squatting or sitting on the floor regularly.

Yes, simultaneous (bilateral) knee replacement is common and safe for medically fit patients. It has the advantage of a single recovery period and one hospital stay. Your surgeon will evaluate your fitness for this.
